Course Details
Pediatric First Aid Training provides the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to help a child in unexpected situations—at home, in childcare settings, or in a kindergarten. The course takes into account the age-specific characteristics of young children and focuses on the situations that occur most often.

Course content (6 academic hours)
* The fundamentals of first aid and the role of a first aider
* Anatomical and physiological characteristics of young children
* Common accidents and health issues in young children (falls, burns, choking, fever, seizures, allergies, poisoning)
* Assessing a child’s condition (consciousness, breathing, circulation)
* Calling for help and communicating with the emergency number 112
* Life-threatening conditions and essential first aid techniques
* CPR for young children and the principles of AED use
* Building and using a home first aid kit
* Practical exercises and discussion
Participants who complete the training will receive a certificate of completion.
